This week, there were 3 days when 2 players got FJ!, a definite improvement over last week. That all came about in the first 3 games. There was only one solve on Thursday, and none at all on Friday! Monday’s clue, which was the easiest of the week, would have been a triple solve, if it wasn’t for a missing “s”. Ugh!! Perhaps we will see everyone get FJ! at least once next week. The hardest clue for the players was Friday’s. For me, it was Tuesday’s – I’m not very big on sci-fi. As for James Bond, I’ve never read any of those book but I have seen a couple of the Sean Connery movies. Mainly, I know the film titles and the song most associated with it. But that does not mean, I can rattle them off in 30 seconds, let alone remember them.
In the case of this movie, it was Carly Simon’s “Nobody Does It Better”
Laura Portwood-Stacer was Monday’s returning champ and she won again. On Tuesday, Zach Shrier took over but only for that day. Lori White won on Wednesday. Dave Pai sent her home on Thursday. He won again on Friday in another one of those games where the other two players cancel each other out.
An odd coincidence: On Tuesday, Zach Shrier won the exact same amount that Jon Spurney won last Tuesday.
The contestants cumulative winnings for the week were $$112,503. That amount will be donated to the Pancreatic Cancer Dream Team from Stand Up to Cancer.
