Kyle got the last Daily Double in “Remember James Garfield!” under the $2,000 clue, the last clue on the board. He was in negative territory, at -$400 and this was his only hope of sticking around for FJ! He bet the $2,000 allowance. For want of a better answer, he said “Know Nothing”, although he knew that was WRONG.

Garfield served 9 terms in Congress as one of these alliterative Republicans who wanted equality for African Americans.

Leanne finished in the lead with $20,200. J.R. was next with $11,200. Kyle was out of the game at negative $2,400.

WHAT IS NEW HAMPSHIRE?

New Hampshire is the U.S. state that has an 18-mile border with the Atlantic Ocean, known as the seacoast region. New Hampshire was named for England’s Hampshire County by Captain John Mason, according to World Atlas.

Hampshire County in England borders the English Channel. World Atlas also says “The English Channel itself is a part of the Atlantic Ocean, and it separates the island of Great Britain (part of the UK) from northern France and joins the North Sea to the Atlantic Ocean.” The Hampshire County Council says the coast of Hampshire “from Highcliffe on the Dorset border to Chichester Harbour in West Sussex, is about 230 miles (370 kilometres).” I don’t know what part of that 230 miles the clue is referring to.
