Here are the Final Jeopardy questions and answers for the week of April 8 through April 12, 2019.

Mon, Apr 8 – Correct answers: 2

Tue, Apr 9 – Correct answers: 3
PHYSICS TERMS: Ironically, it’s a metaphor meaning a huge step forward, but this 2-word process only occurs on a subatomic scale show

Wed, Apr 10 – Correct answers: 2 (out of 2 left)
EUROPEAN HISTORY: In 2000 the Russian Orthodox Church canonized 7 members of this family, 82 years after their deaths show

Thu, Apr 11 – Correct answers: 1

Fri, Apr 12 – Correct answers: 2
LITERARY ADAPTATIONS: The director of the 2018 TV version of this 1953 classic said, yes, books were harmed in the making of this motion picture show

The FJs this week were an easy bunch with the exception of Thursday’s clue. Even that was easy for some who didn’t automatically equate videos with music, but then just the category “Celebrities” should have been a tip that it wasn’t music. Something to do with at least three of the others shows up on the Jeopardy! board with amazing regularity.

Jeopardy! champs from April 8-12, 2019

James Holzhauer returned on Monday with an already stellar 2-day total of $82,606. He proceeded to win every game, breaking Roger Craig’s 9/14/2010 $77,000 record for one-day winnings on Tuesday, among other records. His 7-day total of $415,035 puts him at No. 4 for Highest Winnings (Regular Season Play) right behind Julia Collins $428,100. Julia made that in 20 games. Enough said!!

James’ record-breaking $110,914 has been added to the Top 15 Daily Payouts of Season 35. As noted before, that list only reflects a contestant’s highest payout, otherwise James would be dominating that list.

From Jeopardy!’s youtube channel, here are the highlights of James Holzhauer’s first 5 games:

Agree. Munchkins was maybe the second toughest. since both – Fonda and Munchkins- were
sort of generation things. Easiest: Wed, Tue, Fri in that order. Actually all 7 FJs in James’ games were a lot easier than average imo. Great Salt Lake and Berlin were kind of softballs too I would say.
