From Phys.org: “Sturgeon, affectionately referred to as “Tsar Fish” are perhaps more critically endangered than any other group of species on the planet. In 2013, 5 countries bordering the Caspian Sea (Russia, Iran, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan) officially implemented a 5-year moratorium on commercial fishing for sturgeon, which was extended through 2019. In recent news, Russia and Iran have formally agreed to continue the ban.
