Cheryl Tiegs: Fire Away

Cheryl Tiegs appeared on the Wendy Williams show today, after a good night’s sleep — she was looking a lot less tired than she did on Season 5 premiere of Donald Trump’s “The Celebrity Apprentice.”

It was between Cheryl and Victoria Gotti and Cheryl lost the coin toss. Just kidding. There wasn’t a coin toss. Actually, Patricia Velasquez threw Cheryl under the bus big-time, practically calling her a liar! Yeah, Cheryl outlined her contributions to the celebrity sandwich — or sammich, as Arsenio Hall likes to call them, selling.

But Velasquez insisted that Cheryl couldn’t possibly have contributed that much dough to the kitty because she was up there keeping track and it was her homie, Miss Universe, who was raking in the cabbage.

Lisa Lampanelli was dogging Mafia princess Victoria Gotti for rank unprofessionalism, and rightfully so. For one thing, the Mafia princess was an hour late to the job. She had “eye issues” but failed to give anyone a call about it. When she did get there, though, she had no problem using her phone whatsoever, only not for business. Gotti defended her phone calls, saying she was checking up on her offspring, like any good mother would.

Cheryl Tiegs told Wendy Williams that the atmosphere on the show was “very mean-spirited.”

Well, we didn’t think so. That was just a warm-up from where we’re sitting and the two team leaders, Paul Teutel and Velasquez, were pretty reluctant, apologetic even, when it came to picking people to axe. But once Tiegs and Gotti’s heads were on the chopping block, Velasquez decided she would rather work with Gotti and felt that there was more strength there.

But Cheryl pretty much sunk her own ship — openly admitting she held back her big donors and saying she wasn’t sure she belonged there. On that last one, Patricia Velasquez almost moaned, “Cheryl, don’t say that,” which was weird after clearly expressing her preference.

“I’ve built 12 companies in my life,” Tiegs told Wendy Williams (something she brought up in the boardroom, too). “I’ve been on the cover of ‘Time’ magazine three times, not for my beauty but because what I was doing was newsworthy around the world. I’ve worked with teams all my life, but I’ve been nice and I’ve been kind. I wanted to bring something to ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ to let America know that you don’t have to be back-stabbing and mean-spirited in order to a challenge.”

The audience applauded roundly, but really, Cheryl, no one watches Celebrity Apprentice to see good teamwork.

Get real, honey.

Tomorrow, Wendy will have The Donald on.
