Lindsay Lohan as Liz Taylor — Say What?

She didn’t get the Linda Lovelace gig — that went to Amanda Seyfried, but now, according to the Daily Mail, Lindsay Lohan will be portraying Elizabeth Taylor in a Lifetime movie based upon Liz’s passionate and turbulent relationship with Richard Burton.

Apparently, the project, “Liz and Dick,” has been in the works since the death of the legendary actress of such films as “Cleopatra,” “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” and “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?”

And apparently, Lohan will be able to get the role as long as she continues to stay on the right side of the law, but that’s really not the question that came to our minds.

She doesn’t look a damn thing like Liz Taylor to us. Not even with dark hair. Besides, when Taylor was around Lindsay Lohan’s age, she didn’t even know Richard Burton.

Taylor met Burton during the filming of Cleopatra when she was around 31. They married in 1964 and divorced 10 years later. They remarried in 1975 and divorced again a year later. By this time, Liz Taylor was 44 years old.

Guess they got the idea from Playboy channeling Marilyn Monroe on Lohan’s photo shoot. Well, what else can we say?

Weirder things have happened and just this week — like Chris Brown and Rihanna releasing not one, but two duets.
