There ain’t always fire where there’s smoke

Robert Henline played Pyro Paulie, the “best firebug on the South Side,” according to Frank. Arson, Frank said, was the oldest trick in the slumlord’s handbook. With Pyro Paulie’s help, Fiona could get rid of the squatters in her apartment building and collect the insurance. Fiona said she was not going to burn down her building but she went to Paulie’s place of employment, a minimart where it said on the door “yes we are open, even after the shooting.” Paulie hooked her up with a smoke bomb that was very effective in getting Rodney and Trina outside, where Fiona was able to make a deal with them to never darken her building again.

Thank God there’s a prenup

James Shanklin played Rupert, Jr., son and namesake of the elderly gent who was getting married to Freelania, or so they thought. Rupert, Jr. appeared quite shocked after the vows were made and Svetlana took the fur-lined hood down showing her brunette locks. Freelania is a blonde, albeit bleached.

What is this place and why does it smell like old shoes?

Ludmila Velikaya played Zlata, Freelania’s mother. She came all the way from Russia to see her daughter get married to Rupert, Jr.’s senile father. She ended up at the Alibi, after Kevin and V picked her up at the airport. They drugged her with Xanax and vodka and helped Svetlana get ready to take Freelania’s place at the wedding ceremony.

Ian Gallagher, we have a warrant for your arrest

Jason Singer played Detective Clark of the Chicago P.D. He had a warrant for Ian’s arrest and came to look for him at the Gallagher homestead first. Frank answered the door and claimed he never heard of Ian. The detectives caught up with Ian at a rally. When members of his loyal flock began coming forward and declaring “I’m Ian Gallagher,” Clark told his partner to arrest all of them, then went up on the platform and cuffed Ian. Most of the Gallagher clan saw this transpire on TV later, except Frank who was just returning from his Porta-Potty adventure, a little blue in the face, so to speak.

Lip is my hero

Scarlet Spencer played little Xan, Eddie’s niece. Xan’s mother dumped her on Eddie and Eddie abandoned Xan to Social Services. Lip took Xan home at the end of the episode so we may be seeing her again in the next season. Heck, we may be seeing most everyone on this post again, except the detectives. You never know when Fiona might need the services of Pyro Paulie again.
