Supporting Cast: Sleep No More – Shameless

Deirdre Lovejoy as Rita Smith

Supervisor Smith reminisces about her first time setting off the siren

In Episode 11 of Season 6 of Shameless (3/27/16), Deirdre Lovejoy played Rita Smith, the supervisor where Ian Gallagher was assigned to begin his training as an EMT. When she introduces Ian to everyone, she proudly announces that he is the only person, besides herself, who ever got a perfect score on the written and practical exams. But Ian got an F in telling the truth on his employment application. When Supervisor Smith learned that he failed to disclose his voluntary stint in a mental hospital for treatment of his bipolar disorder, she had to let him go.

Melanie Mosley as Mrs. Holmes

Mrs. Holmes has some harsh advice for Debbie Gallagher

Melanie Mosley played Mrs. Holmes, Debbie’s teacher. When Debbie showed up to class with her baby Franny, Mrs. Holmes sent her straight to the guidance counselor with this advice: “Here’s a lesson: Use condoms.” How come they showed other mothers with children at the school back in #Abortion Rules?

Marco Delgado

Franny’s paternal grandfather caved in to the threats of her maternal grandfather

Randy Vasquez played Marco Delgado. He is Derek’s father, the boy who left town after Debbie told him she was pregnant. Frank shook him down for some money with a threat to bring statutory rape charges against Derek. Since Derek was only 17 himself and Debbie’s boyfriend, that was an empty threat, but Mr. Delgado still must have forked over a lot of money. Frank put down a large deposit on a restaurant reception for Fiona’s wedding that is going to cost $4,000.

Brett Rickaby as Bruno

Bruno just got canned and has no moral issue extinguish the life of an arrogant dirtbag

Frank still had $2,000 left when he ran into Bruno (Brett Rickaby) on the L after a knock-down drag-out fight with Sean. After “Irate Guy” Frank got done complaining about what an arrogant dirtbag Sean is, Bruno explained that he was “Canned Fella.” He just lost his job and offered to solve Frank’s problem for an amount to be decided upon. Frank sort of admitted to having only $2,000 to his name in cash and on his person. That normally would have ended up in Bruno following him off the train, giving him a second beating and robbing him, but this ended up with Frank giving Bruno a $1,000 down payment to take out Sean.
