Supporting Cast of A Good Man Is Hard to Find – Ray Donovan

You don’t remember me, do you?

Kerry Condon played Molly Sullivan, sister of Kevin Sullivan, the guy that is giving Mayor Feratti fits. Ray ran into Molly when he went to talk to Kevin. It was more like Ray was summoned by Kevin and it was surprising that Ray just went over there. Molly knows Ray but Ray doesn’t remember Molly. However, if you were paying attention to the preview of Episode 3, she shows up at Ray’s office and asks to see him. Mickey is there. He has his back to her but you can see by his facial reaction he remembers the name “Kevin Sullivan.”

Can you tell me where you were on the night of November 7th?

Quincy Tyler Bernstine played Detective Perry who is working on the cop murders case. She was following Ray around and saw him visit Amber McGrath. Ray’s daughter, Bridget, helped concoct an alibi that Ray took Bridget, Smitty and Daryll to a Jonathan Walker Hansen concert on November 7th. Somehow, we don’t think Detective Perry is going to believe that, tickets stubs or not. Ray gave her Smitty’s name and after she has a chat with him, she’s bound to be even more suspicious unless Smitty cracks and sings like a canary! Then what?

You wanna bring him in?

Robert Funaro played Lt. Bricker, Detective Perry’s superior. Do you remember him from “The Sopranos”? He played made man Eugene Pontecorvo, who inherited a fortune from his aunt and wanted to retire from the mob.

Keren Dukes played Jasmine, Daryll’s neighbor. She offered to help Daryll when he was struggling with the apartment building door and she held the urn that Mickey was not in so Daryll could get the door open. There could be love in Daryll’s future. Perhaps it won’t end badly this time.

Other notes:

1. We doubt if that was Ray’s last therapy session with Dr. Amiot when Ray decided that therapy wasn’t going to help him but we do agree that it’s not going to help him. We just don’t see how Dr. Amiot or any other therapist on earth can help Ray. All these Mickey exposés are a waste of time. We know Mickey is a bad guy and Mickey knows it, too. But Ray is deluding himself if he thinks he’s a good guy. That right there is the essential difference between Mickey and Ray.

2. That random remark by Lena asking Bridget not to get pregnant made us think she already was by Adam Rain, but on second thought, she did say she doesn’t want to cheat so she probably hasn’t slept with Adam Rain yet. However, if she is or she gets pregnant by Smitty, that is going to make things a lot messier.
