A lightbulb went off in the cunning head of Gillian Darmody (Gretchen Mol) when she spied Roger McAllister on the Boardwalk. He looks a lot like Gillian’s son, James (Michael Pitt), who is dead.

Roger McAllister is played by Billy Magnussen. We’ve seen Billy before and wrote about him right here on Fikkle Fame. He was the ill-fated TV star, Marc Landry, in the 6/19/2011 Law & Order: CI episode entitled “Icarus”. Coincidentally, Christopher MacDonald, who plays Harry Daugherty on Boardwalk Empire, was also in that very same L&O episode.

We can hope that Billy’s character doesn’t meet an untimely end on Boardwalk Empire, but look at the company he’s keeping!
