Panthers Complete Season Sweep of Golden Knights

The Vegas Golden Knights beat the Florida Panthers in five games in the 2023 Stanley Cup Finals, but this season, the Panthers got a small amount of revenge, sweeping the two game regular season series. Back on December 23rd, Florida beat Vegas 4-2 on the Panthers’ home ice and on January 4th, Florida beat the Golden Knights 4-1 in Las Vegas. It was the first time Florida has won in Las Vegas since the Golden Knights entered the NHL in the 2017-18 season.

It was the sixth straight win for the Panthers (24-12-2, 50 points) who are in second place in the Atlantic Division just two points behind the front running Boston Bruins. Vegas (22-12-5 has dropped two in a row and are in second place in the Pacific Division, two points behind Vancouver. Florida is in action next on January 6th, at Colorado. The Avalanche lead the Central Division. Vegas will host the New York Islanders, who are tied for second in the Metropolitan Division. That game is also on January 6th.
