Oklahoma Wins Third Straight NCAA Softball Crown
Florida State took a 1-0 lead in Game 2 of the best of three Women’s College World Series final against Oklahoma, but the Sooners scored the last three runs of the game to beat the Seminoles 3-1. The victory completed a two game sweep for Oklahoma, who became NCAA champions for the third year in a row.
Oklahoma was about as dominant as a team could be this season, finishing with a record of 61-1. The Sooners have won 53 games in a row. These are just mind boggling numbers, and here’s some more:
In the last three years, Oklahoma is 176-8. The Sooners have won seven World Series since 2000, and six since 2013; they were also runners-up in 2012 and 2019.
