Knicks Overpower Cavaliers to Advance to NBA Finals

The New York Knicks had been in total control in the first three games of their NBA Eastern Conference Final against the Cleveland Cavaliers, but they out did themselves in Game 4. Six Knicks scored in double figures and New York outrebounded Cleveland 60-33 on the way to a 130-93 rout of the Cavaliers on May 25th. New York advances to the NBA Finals for the first time since 1999.

The Knicks are red hot at exactly the right time and they are crushing the competition. They beat the Atlanta Hawks in six games to start the playoffs, with win margins of 16, 29, and 51 points in the final three games. Next, they swept the Philadelphia 76ers, with two of the wins by 39 and 30 points, before sweeping the Cavaliers. The Knicks will play the winner of the Oklahoma City—San Antonio series in the NBA Finals.
