Knicks Take 1-0 Lead Over Spurs in NBA Finals

Jalen Brunson scored 30 points and Karl-Anthony Towns scored 18 and had 12 rebounds as the New York Knicks overcame a 14 point third quarter deficit to beat the San Antonio Spurs 105-95 in Game 1 of the NBA Finals on June 3rd. This was a big win on the road for the Knicks against a Spurs team that was 32-8 at home during the regular season, while New York was just 22-19 on the road.

The Knicks have been scorching hot in the post season. After starting 1-2 in Round 1 against the Atlanta Hawks, New York has now won 12 straight. Victor Wembanyama led San Antonio with 26 points and 12 rebounds; Julian Champagnie also had a double double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. The Spurs will attempt to even the series in Game 2 on June 5th.
