Brad had 10,400 in the 1st game.
Those daily doubles were really tough on brad. I knew Moog and Lewis and Clark Clifford Odets and I didn’t know Basin St. Although I have to say James did really well today despite not landing on the Daily doubles since he is more aggressive with the bets in his regular appearances previously. A great recap nonetheless VJ.
Hey, VJ—great recap, a lotta work! Thanks, I did not get to see the game.
Thanks, Cece. I was just coming over here to tell Howard and JP about how we always get Catherine the Great’s lover because of that game in Oct 2015 when someone thought he was Metternich and we read that funny article about the lovers. Woah!! I could not believe that Brad said Vronsky!
James, Brad, and Ken are wearing purple ribbons somehow.
Yes, VJ, and I also remember your today’s quote at the time: I look nothing like Potemkin – Metternich (or some such), lol.
Maybe Brad had Anna K. in mind instead of Catherine the Great, who knows.
Considering he didn’t land on even one of the 6 DDs, James did remarkably well overall. Which did him no good tonight, but bodes well for him moving forward.
I predicted weeks ago that all 3 were very likely to go all in on the doubles, and that would probably decide most of the games.
(Appropriately) brutal, fiendish Daily Doubles. It will be great to actually see these guys be really challenged. Given the format, I wouldn’t be surprised if every daily double in the first game of each two-game match was a true daily double.
Those DDs sure were tough. I knew Moog and Lewis and Clark Clifford Odets, that’s all.
Couldn’t come up with Basin St to go with Bourbon. Or either Final Jeopardy.
I thought Brad would win the tournament. Maybe Brad doesn’t know the more difficult type questions being asked in this tournament.
