Check the listings in advance for your ABC station and, if you record them, set up your DVR for these shows as a separate series.

Each show is an hour long with two complete Jeopardy! games back-to back. The winner of each match will be decided by their total point score of the two games. Each 2-part match counts as one win and the first player to win three matches will be declared JEOPARDY! THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME and will win ONE MILLION DOLLARS. The two non-winners will each receive $250,000.

If it takes more than 3 matches to declare a winner, another match will air on Friday, the 10th. If that doesn’t do it, more matches will be air the following week until one player has won three.

These games will air in addition to the regular daily game.

So, tell us now, which of the Jeopardy! GOATS are ya rootin’ for?

$4,688,436 – Brad Rutter, the leader in all-time winnings, who has never been defeated by another human. Brad first appeared on Jeopardy! when the 5-day champ rule was in effect and won $55,102. He won all the rest of that money in tournaments!

$3,370,700 – Ken Jennings, the leader in most consecutive games won (74), and highest winnings in regular game play ($2,520,700)

$2,712,216 – James Holzhauer, who won $2,462,216 in his 32-game run, almost toppling Ken Jennings’ record and also won the 2019 Tournament of Champions.

    To semi-borrow a line from a Styx song… “Tonight’s the night they’ll make quiz-tory, Ken & Brad & James…”!
I think the contest comes down to Brad & James, especially if you consider that every time Brad & Ken have locked horns, Brad came out the victor.
Prediction: Brad “The Brainiac” Rutter takes down “Jeopardy” James Holzhauer to earn the title of the GOAT! This should be GREAT!!!

I say all three will win $1,000,000.

  3. VJ says:

I am going to be rooting for Brad who actually is the Greatest of All Time so far, ya know. But, I sort of having a feeling that James is gonna win.

  4. Lou says:

I am rooting for James as well. He could easily win 3 million in addition to the 2 million that he already has on hand.

  5. Cece says:

I’m rooting for Ken, but I think James is gonna win.

    Happy New year, VJ!

    P.S. I believe you meant 5pm Pacific, above 🙂

Hi Cece, Happy New Year to you, too!!

Tell ya what, I don’t want to give out wrong info so I’m just gonna change that to “check your local listings.”

I checked on West Coast TV listing for Bend, Oregon with Pacific Time and they are showing it airing at 8 p.m. Pacific and I just checked the TV listing for Colorado Springs, CO – they show it coming on at 7 p.m. Mountain Time but I have never watched TV in those time zones, so idk. 😕

      • Cece says:

Sorry, VJ, stupid me. I was thinking in terms of Eastern time in relation to Pacific time, as in 8pm eastern time corresponds to 5pm pacific time. Of course, they can broadcast it anytime they want in different regions. Thanks!
