Here’s a recap of the clues on The Best Ever Trivia Show for Wednesday, June 12, 2019 with host Sherri Shepherd. This episode’s title is “Smarty Pants.”

The format of this show pits 3 contestants against 3 trivia experts. There are 3 rounds and the player with the highest score wins $1,000 and moves on to the Ultimate Trivia Challenge for a chance to win $10,000. They give one player a choice of categories and a choice of experts to play against. It’s a multiple choice format.

In Round 1, Matthew chose Trains instead of Fashion and he chose to play against expert David. 4 questions, 50 points for each correct answer and double if David gets it wrong.

In Round 2, as the leader, Josh picked Fashion and not Sweden. And then he chose Muffy for this round’s trivia expert to beat for double points. (Wow! I would have expected Raj to know less about Fashion than Muffy.) 100 points per correct answer.

In Round 3 Leader Jackie chose Hoaxes and not Cars. The twist in this 2-question round is the expert reveals how confident he is about the answer and the players have a chance to go with that for 200 points or to pick their own answer for 400 points, if right. Raj is this round’s expert.

Josh wins $1,000 and gets a chance at $10,000 by taking on a set of 5 more questions and getting more of them right than Muffy. If he does, he will also return on the next show. Any player who makes it through 3 shows, and wins $30,000, gets to join the Best Ever Trivia Show’s expert team.

Josh and Muffy were tied at 4 right each so Josh got to play the Ultimate Trivia Question chosen by the experts before the show. He does not have to beat Muffy on this one. He just has to get it right.
