We thought last week was a rough week. Well! This week was a rough and tough week. There were no triple solves and only one day that 2 players were right. That was on Thursday and it was the easiest clue of the week. Take your pick for the hardest. In our neck of the woods, it was Wednesday’s European Landmark clue, and not because of the 1980s controversy. We just never thought of museums as landmarks before.

Jeopardy! champs, week of February 22, 2021

Michael Colton returned on Monday for Game 3 but lost to Jon Spurney. Jon won on Tuesday but lost Wednesday’s tied game when he and Tim Everhart zeroed out and made Melis Sahin-Collins the champ. Jim Cooper sent Melis home on Thursday and he lost on Friday to Laura Portwood-Stacer.

I said it before and I’ll say it again—lately, something is weird about FJ clues. OK, I didn’t say weird but, same difference

I’ve been thinking the same thing, Cece. I wonder if they’ve changed writers. The phrasing is so odd to me, too.

You may be right, Rhonda—a new writer who wants to mess, er…mix it up a little.

Yep, it was a tough and rough week like last week. We’ll still waiting for a triple solve and it’s been a while. When was the last time all three players got FJ! right?
