This week we only had one triple solve on a clue that many felt would have been tougher if they had left out the word “southern”, and we had two triple stumpers. Only one player got FJ in the other games.

We had three champs. John Schultz came back as a 2x champ on Monday and hung in there until he was soundly whupped by Amanda Boitano on Thursday. Amanda took a trouncing on Friday and Nicholas Bérubé emerged as the winner, although he didn’t make a lot since none of them knew FJ.

Anyone else get Friday’s question because they read Hyperion by Dan Simmons? (LINK)

    • VJ says:

Not me. Not big on sci-fi but I am big on poetry and have read a lot about Keats, even though he is not one of my fav poets. One thing about him that I found amazing was his friends saying he was really a robust and strong man, even when he had tuberculosis, and that was partly why no one thought he had it, and I put that info on his poem “La Belle Dame Sans Merci” on my poetry site

PS — I put a link to the Hyperion series in your comment, in case anyone wants to look it up

VJ – Happy MLK day! I’m happy for the 3-day weekend 🙂

Thanks for Cerulean’s video (he’s so darn cute!) and, as always, for all you do.

Btw, thanks for linking The Final Wager video featuring Cerulean. Very impressive young man.

Perhaps Nicholas Bérubé will have a better game Monday. His winnings going into fj were extremely low imo.

The percentage on fj for this week is 40% for correct responses. This is atrocious.
