All Final Jeopardy! clues this week were correctly answered by 2 contestants, except for Thursday’s clue when all the players were right. Thursday’s clue was the easiest of the week. It was one of the clues I got right away. The other one was Monday’s. Tuesday’s was hardest for me. The category sent me off in the wrong direction on that one.

Jeopardy! champs, week of September 13, 2021

Matt Amodio won every game in the first week of Season 38, just like he did in the last few weeks of Season 37. Every game was a runaway. I really like how Matt always responds to the Final Jeopardy! clue even when he has a runaway and doesn’t go for the joke. Not one payday this week was under $35,000. Monday’s $67,800 was the highest. Matt finished Season 37 with $574,801. He finished the first week of Season 38 with $825,801. He “only” needs to make $174,200 to go over the $1 million mark next week.

Here is a video with the last 12 clues in the first round of the September 16, 2021 game, when Matt bet everything on the first round Daily Double and lost it all. By the end of the round, he was in the red but he didn’t let it rattle him much. He tweeted: “me on the outside: “Single #Jeopardy didn’t go as planned, shake it off and stay focused for Double @Jeopardy”
