WHO IS ANDREW JACKSON?

From fggam.org: “The Whigs were a loose coalition of diverse political interests—Anti-Masons, National Republicans, disillusioned Democrats—united by a shared hatred of President Andrew Jackson. To the Whigs, Jackson was ‘King Andrew the First,’ a despot who usurped power from Congress to serve his own populist ideals. The Whigs formed in 1834 in response to Jackson’s refusal to fund the second National Bank. They took their name from a British anti-monarchist party that was revived in Colonial America as ‘American Whigs.'” The article takes you through the eventual demise of the Whig party.

I have a saying which is: “Much of life is environmental”. If Matt went up against James Holzhauer two years ago then Matt would have immediately faded into obscurity. No matter how good you are having a little luck also helps.

You don’t know that. Matt would have a good shot vs. James. I would put James as about a 2/1 favorite, but a lot depends on the categories and on DDs and FJ.

I picked John Quincy Adams for the final question so I wasn’t that far off. Oh well!

Looks like Matt’s chances of losing this week didn’t really happen but he definitely made a clean sweep this week after not being able to get that daily double yesterday. I think he is definitely going to be welcomed into The Chaser’s lounge soon if he reaches a million dollars. I think matt could definitely get to James Holzhauer soon if he wins 9 more games. This is a great start to season 38 of Jeopardy VJ. I can’t wait to see Mayim again behind the lectern next week. One triple solve this week plus double solves. Let’s hope there will be another triple solve next week.

Wow, I thought the probability suggested Matt would lose sometime this week, but instead he’s taken his game to another level.

Truly one of the all-time greats now.
