It wasn’t a very good week in Final Jeopardy! with 3 triple stumpers. I blame the clues for that. They were “too” clues. Whether that was too misleading or too obscure, it adds up to too complicated. Let’s just take Friday’s clue as an example. If it’s a plural response, shouldn’t the clue read “of THESE conflicts”? Tuesday’s clue was the easiest with 2 correct. The novel in question is Jeopardy’s go to response for the occupation of architecture. Thursday’s Demographics clue got one response. Most people who make it to the Alex Trebek Stage know which U.S. state is the most densely populated, so 2 of the players must have thought it couldn’t be that easy.
This week’s winners:
Mon 6/1/26 $18,999 Peter McFerrin
Tue 6/2/26 $49,199 Peter McFerrin
Wed 6/3/26 $5,999 Peter McFerrin
Thu 6/4/26 $22,800 Peter McFerrin
Fri 6/5/26 $19,201 Peter McFerrin
8x champ Chris D’Angelo returned on Monday and was defeated by Peter McFerrin. Peter won every game this week for a total of $116,198. That’s pretty good considering the effects of 3 triple stumpers in Final Jeopardy!.
In addition to Peter’s $116,198, the usual $25K in consolation prizes was paid out this week: $3,000 for second place and 2,000 for third place each day.
Here is the QUICK LIT category from Thursday’s game.
