It was another week of Final Jeopardy! clues with one or two answers. No triple solves. No triple stumpers. The clues on Tuesday and Friday could be filed under It’s Easy If You Live There, although there certainly are other ways you could know them. (Two players were right on Tuesday). Perhaps Monday’s clue was the hardest of the rest, especially if you didn’t know how many brothers John Wilkes Booth had. It’s a coin toss as to the easiest of Wednesday and Thursday. On the one hand, the rhyming aspect of the Civil War clue made that pretty easy. On the other hand, you need to know the top film classics if you’re going on Jeopardy! and this one heads up quite a few best movie lists. No one is saying you have to go watch the movie; however, watching a trailer would be a few well-spent minutes!

Jeopardy! champs, week of May 2, 2022

Mattea Roach won her 20th game on Monday and her streak continued unabated through Wednesday. She went over the half million mark on Tuesday. On Thursday, she faced a serious challenge from Sarah Snider, who had a big lead going into Final Jeopardy! Mattea won her 23rd game anyway when Sarah missed FJ! On Friday, Danielle Maurer was the only one to get FJ! correct and, when all was said and done, she won the game by $1.00. Mattea will return in the Tournament of Champions. Danielle will be back on Monday to defend her title when Mayim Bialik takes over hosting duties.

Here is the Final Jeopardy! round from Friday’s game.
