Jeopardy! champs, week of April 25, 2022

Mattea Roach played her 15th game on Monday. By the end of the week, she was a 19x winner even though she encountered a couple of serious challenges on the way. The closest call was on Wednesday when Ben Hsia had exactly half her score and they both got Final Jeopardy! right. Look at that big $42,001 payday on Thursday! That beats the $38,800 Mattea won in her second game. That happened when Mattea had to bet big and get FJ! right to beat Renée Russell.

The $140,103 from this week brings Mattea’s total winnings to $460,184. She is well on her way to the half million mark if her luck holds up next week.

Here is the “OLD TIME PRIVATE EYE” category from Monday’s game.
