The first two Final Jeopardy! clues in the semi-finalist games were both fairly easy. Wednesday’s clue, on the other hand, was the Zinger of the Week, and really should have been in one of the final games. It would not have affected the outcome, at any rate, as Nibir did all the work he needed to do before Final Jeopardy! in both final matches. However, the difficulty of the clue did affect the outcome on Wednesday. In the last two games, Friday’s clue was easier than Thursday’s.
Nibir Sarma won the 2020 Jeopardy! College Championship, running away with the game in both matches of the 2-day final.

Why can’t all clues be like Monday’s? The writers parse the clue for us, give us its parts’ etymology, and maybe even their synonyms? LOL!
ha ha ha… or maybe even the name of the thing right in the clue, like that DD on Friday
Joshua Lionel Cowen entered the HoF for his work on these playthings, which he branded with his own middle name
Right, lol! If that wasn’t lost on Tyler, he might’ve regretted leaving $2,200 on the table.
Wednesday clue—what the…?
