An FJ! clue that everyone got was elusive this week, despite some easy clues, especially if history is one of your strong suits. Going by the numbers, Monday’s MUSIC MEN clue and Thursday’s FAMOUS FAMILIES clue were the easiest. Two would have nailed the AWARDS & HONORS clue as well, but one player ran out of time. Everyone was misled by the Indian Ocean in HISTORIC LETTERS, resulting in a triple stumper. I wondered how that would play out in a class of 60 as a Magellan, da Gama, Columbus multiple choice.

The quarter-finals in the “Diamonds” Champions Wild Card tournament continued this week. Last week, Dave Pai won the first semi-final spot. This week, the winners were:
