Jeopardy would NEVER have a Final where the answer is “666” or “69”.

  2. Leelee says:

@VJ, you inspired me to write the year I was born in Roman numerals:
    MCMLXXXV

  3. Howard says:

Whew, thank goodness this septuagenarian still has strong arithmetical skills. Figured out FJ with some time to spare. Glad at least one of them got it.

VERY disappointed with all the $$ they left on the table. The NYer named Diedrich (DD); Small intestine aka Troy (DD); “Saboteur” director; Israel investment items; Israeli building; old man stabbed in Hamlet; maroulosalata country; anatomical name of center of lettuce; Finnish track star; Dane/NE passage; Alpine peak; thick/car blemishes; Connecticut spice ALL left me astounded. A few were answered incorrectly; most were left untouched.

My old man was very well-read, could have gone to college for free after WW2, but did not. When we moved on from grade to junior high, we bought autograph books and signed each others’ books. Dad wrote in mine: “This above all, to thine own self be true,” a quote from the character in “Hamlet” no one knew tonight. The words didn’t mean much to an 11-year old, but once I matured they became my personal credo.

  4. Jason says:

I got about 3/4 the TS, none of the DD, and I got FJ correct. I, too, did the math on my fingers, but got it in time. I admit that I did forget the ileum (which I should recall, as I do recall that typhlitis is inflammation of the ileum – where that name came from, I have NO idea).

However, I was happy getting the explorer for the Northwest Passage, The Third Man, Saboteur, and the Finnish track star. Also got the European peak. So, I’ll take it.

However, I didn’t realize how badly they were doing until I looked at the scores at the end of DJ! The first round was passable, bit, DJ!? A different story.

Man, Taylor was flat. God’s honest truth, my first thought was “What, does this guy have early onset Parkinson’s Disease?” But, he won, so, we’ll see what happens. I’m excited to see Howard’s friend on the season finale show!

  5. Collin says:

Tomorrow is Alex Trebek’s 82nd birthday. He died at the age of 80 on November 8th, 2020.

  6. Trevor Panno says:

    Nik wrote 2166.

  7. Kevin Cheng says:

Today’s game had a tough material with 19 triple stumpers. Low scoring game but in the end Taylor came up with a tricky FJ! response and got it right cause this subject is a math category. Taylor will be back on Monday to kick off the Season 39 finale week.
