I felt bad for Shannon after playing so well, but I’m happy for Mara!

  2. Lou says:

Shannon was in a difficult position despite not knowing that daily double in the second round. But still glad Mara got final. Also, I don’t want to be the only person to comment here and I would greatly appreciate it with more inputs from VJ, Rhonda, Jacob and so forth. I also would welcome any replies to my comment as well as it is quite lonesome here. Otis Redding had a lot of great music just like aaliyah did.

    • VJ says:

Sorry about that, Lou. I have not been feeling that great lately. If I don’t comment, it’s usually because I’m sleeping!

My favorite Otis Redding songs are “My Lover’s Prayer”, “Can’t Turn You Loose” and “Respect” (the original, Aretha’s was a cover)

These players only got 2 stumpers in the first round and I was definitely thinking more than one would get final, possibly all 3. When they didn’t know who played Felix Unger on TV, I was thinking uh oh!

      • Lou says:

It’s understandable and I hope you get better soon VJ my friend. Speaking of Felix Unger, the odd couple was one of my favorite tv shows when I was younger. I don’t know how they missed that in jeopardy but that show was gold comedy.

        • Howard says:

Those of us “of a certain age” knew the actor who played Felix Unger and Otis Redding in a heartbeat. But in general, I’m usually impressed by the knowledge of older pop culture by the younger players.

        • rhonda says:

I was also quite surprised that Tony / Felix was a TS. I’ve been enjoying the popular culture clues this week that those of us who are of a “certain age” know in a heartbeat.
Lou, I haven’t been posting at all lately, the heat here has been awful and I haven’t been in the mood to do very much of anything.

    • Jacob Ska says:

Lou I always respond when you ask me a question. I don’t post comments every night because I may be tied up in a research project which I’m unable to break away from. I definitely like communicating with you and others.
