WHO IS QUEEN VICTORIA?

Queen Victoria, granddaughter of George III, was 18 when she ascended to the throne of the United Kingdom on 6/20/1837, following the death of her uncle, William IV. Martin Van Buren, the 8th U.S. President, had just been inaugurated on 3/4/1837. Victoria died at the age of 81 on 1/22/1901 during the presidency of William McKinley. In between, 15 other U.S. Presidents lived in the White House. It’s easier to name the 19th century Presidents before Victoria became Queen than all the others, but you can try to name all of them in this Sporcle quiz.

Alison got it right. She bet the farm and doubled her score to $11,600.

Lucas got it, too. He bet $4,600, bringing him up to $21,000.

Eesha went with Elizabeth II. That only cost her $413, so she landed in second place with $19,787. So Lucas won the match and the semi-final spot. Eesha’s a shoe-in for a Wild Card!

If this keeps going like this, I think the semi-finals will be super competitive

Great scores by the players today, and a wise bet by eesha. Why couldn’t the teacher’s tournament have been like this VJ? Furthermore I’m thinking if this keeps up, we could have another battle of the decades later on. Elizabeth the second is actually a British monarch but it’d,not a bad guess.
