WHAT IS LIECHTENSTEIN?

Liechtenstein’s Embassy in Washington, D.C. provides this history of the country’s National Day: “On 5 August 1940 the government of the Principality of Liechtenstein officially declared August 15 to be the country’s national holiday. Just ten days later it was celebrated for the first time. There were two reasons for choosing the date. Firstly, it was already a bank holiday. The Assumption of Mary is celebrated on August 15. Secondly, the ruling Prince at the time, Prince Franz Josef II, was born on August 16. Therefore, Liechtenstein’s national holiday was created by combining the Feast of the Assumption and the Prince’s birthday….” Learn more here.

Prince Franz Josef II was the father of the current ruling prince, Hans-Adam II. In the above video (uploaded on Kara & Nate’s YouTube channel), Prince Hans-Adams talks to Kara from Tennessee about rice at about the 6:30 mark.

POTPOURRI ($400) In the 1980s, Carmela Vitale of Long Island patented an early version of the item seen here, known as a, this food saver

      ANSWER: What is pizza?

(funny that all the images I saw online are round)

    • DC says:

I thought the same thing. Like, what is a 3-legged table doing in a food category?

Without another object in the photo it’s obviously difficult to determine the scale of the item.

Emily obviously had a strong lead today going into final and she was quick on the buzzer. Perhaps she could be the one to break the string of leader curses and end the three day game curse plaguing everyone for the last four months. We got a strong player today so I think if she can build up on her knowledge tomorrow we could see a big payday in her.

Not surprised they missed WW jacobs story in the double jeopardy round as I read about it in middle school. Overall a good game by all the players today.
