WHO IS JACKIE KENNEDY ONASSIS?

Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy became the widow of President John F. Kennedy when he was assassinated in Dallas, TX on 11/22/1963. Five years later, she married Greek shipping tycoon Aristotle Onassis, one of the richest men in the world. Now Mrs. Onassis, the former First Lady was promptly dubbed “Jackie O” by the tabloids. The gossips said she married Onassis for his money and he married her for social standing. As the clue says, the couple owned many residences around the world. You can see pictures of some of Jackie’s homes here.

Onassis owned an apartment in Paris, a home in Athens and Skorpios, the private Greek island where the couple were married. His yacht, the Christina, was named after his daughter by his first wife. The Onassis marriage ended when Aristotle died in 1975. His daughter Christina died in 1988, leaving Athina, her only child, sole heir to the Onassis fortune. Athina sold Skorpios to a Russian oligarch in 2013. A recent report says the island is being turned into a luxury resort. As for that yacht, according to this article, you can charter it for about $101K per day, if you’ve got that kind of moolah.

Quan bet $600 and finished with $4,200.

Erin wagered nothing and finished with $9,600.

Katie bet $7,601 and won the game with $19,201. Her 3-day total is $35,899.

The fact that Katie bet correctly yesterday also helped her win. Sometimes I wonder if contestants really understand all aspects of our wonderful game. Sometimes we may fail to observe a key aspect to success. Hope you’re staying well, VJ. Your site is so valuable to us!

Katie sure is lucky, I’ll say! The two games she didn’t know FJ! she won despite not being in the lead. Then she is in the lead when she gets an FJ she knows. 👍

Glad to see a triple solve today after that triple stumper from yesterday. I really think Katie could actually break the leader curse that has been going around for the last four months since she is a very strong player here. Although Quan couldn’t get much going today since the ladies were quick on the buzzer. The greece and the yacht hint in the final jeopardy clue helped a lot today.

Good game by all the players! I wonder if Jackie had homes in other states like Delaware or Rhode Island aside from New York and New Jersey?
