Tough FJ as we end the week with a triple stumper.

  2. Lou says:

Well all I can say is congrats to the semifinalists for a well played game. Jong Ho is playing like James holzhauer for some reason with his daily double bets. Hopefully we will have a female teacher getting 100K and a spot in the tournament of champions. California wasn’t a bad guess but a social studies teacher would have gotten this easily.

    • VJ says:

I felt like Jong Ho would have had a runaway if not for those odd bets, Lou. lol. All’s well, I guess. He won anyway. We’ve got some formidable players in the semi-finals and he’s one of them!

Once again, civics is a different topic than history or political science, even. So, I’d give her some leeway in not knowing immediately that Texas wins that race. Heck, I thought about Virginia and Ohio for a moment before re-reading the clue and getting that there are only 15 libraries for 44 former presidents, so it’s a detail that can be missed at home, much less up on the stage.
I thought a Connecticut teacher was gonna be in this today for you, Lou. Maybe that would have led to a different outcome.

    • Richard Corliss says:

Same here. We had enough males winning already.

  3. Dal Higbee says:

Anne’s incorrect response cost her a wild-card spot. Had she gotten it right, she would’ve bumped Lauren out of the wild-card list.

    • William Weyser says:

Yep. Instead, Anne gets to be ”The Alternate”, which always is a terrible position to be in.

  4. Richard Corliss says:

I’m glad this made for last year’s wild cards.
