Competent challengers, but failing to find a DD gave them no chance of winning. First one was easy. I should have known the 3rd because my grandfather was born there. Never heard of that FJ lake. I said Tanganyika even though that’s no longer a country. Crashed on all the stumpers too, but somehow knew the $1000 clues that weren’t stumpers.

It was another fabulous game, but hardly a competitive one since it was yet another clear runaway for Chris. As for FJ, I never heard of Lake Malawi. Well, for lack of anything better, I went with Lake Victoria (although I knew that wasn’t going to fly no how).

    • Rick says:

By the way, labeling Lake Malawi as the “calendar lake” is a misnomer since the lake is considerably less than 365 miles long.

  3. Kevin Cheng says:

Happy Memorial Day VJ! Chris became the fourth giant killer to win his fourth game after defeating a super-champion.

    • VJ says:

      Happy Memorial Day, Kevin!

I saw this meme on Facebook for the first time a couple of years ago. It’s at least worth thinking about:

“Please stop saying Happy Memorial Day.
Memorial Day was never meant to celebrate the living.
Not veterans. Not active military. Not military spouses. It’s a day to remember the men and women who died serving this country.
The ones who didn’t get to come home.”
