Toni found the Jeopardy! round Daily Double in “South American Cities” under the $600 clue on the 8th pick of the round. He was in second place with $1,600, $400 less than Li-Mae’s lead. Toni bet it all and went with Bolivia. That was WRONG.
La Plata & Mar Del Plata are cities in this country show
Li-Mae finished in the lead with $5,200. Ryan was second with $4,200. Toni was last with $3,200. All clues were shown.
Round 2 Categories: History Paintings – Their Last Novel – Diseases – Some Legal “A”s – One-Named Oscar Winners – Adjectives
Ryan found the first Daily Double in “Their Last Novel” under the $1,200 clue on the third pick of the round. He was in second place with $5,000, $200 less than Li-Mae’s lead. Ryan bet $2,000 and thought it was Mark Twain. That was WRONG.

Ryan got the last Daily Double in “Diseases” under the $2,000 clue with a dozen clues to go after it. He was in the lead with $13,400, $5,400 more than Li-Mae in second place. Ryan bet $2,000 and he was RIGHT.

Ryan finished in the lead with $21,000. Li-Mae was second with $12,000. Toni was last with $6,000. All clues were shown.
Only ONE of the contestants got Final Jeopardy! right.
WHAT IS LAKE BAIKAL?
MyRepublica, a site based in Kathmandu, explains that “Lake Baikal is called the ‘Blue Eye of Siberia,’ ‘Sacred Sea’ and ‘Diamond of the Planet’ due to its uniqueness and is the largest freshwater lake by volume in the world. It is not only clean and transparent but also contains so few minerals and salts that its water is virtually distilled.” They have some fantastic photos over there, too.
Toni wrote down the Ural. He lost his $1,006 bet and finished with $4,994.
Li-Mae thought it was Lake Volga. She bet and lost her whole $12,000.
Ryan got it right. He bet $5,000 and won the game with $26,000. His 6-day total is $131,801.

More sloppy writing, it sounds like.
FJ was relatively easy. I mean, how much does anyone know about Siberia? Rasputin, Sakha Republic, Lake Baikal, Oymyakon.
As is becoming usual, I got the TS on page 1, not on page 2!
An easy FJ, and I’m only surprised that the two challengers were stumped.
Happy to see Ryan getting the lone solve and cleaning up this week as our 6 time champ. He now sits comfortably next to Zach Newkirk.
The Wikipedia article I linked to on that Legal “A” TS says that “badgering the witness” and the “A” adjective are two completely different things.
Objection! Counsel isn’t seeking information but is badgering the witness! That’s this adjective!
