WHAT IS APRIL 1 / APRIL FOOLS’ DAY?
This Mark Twain quote actually comes from a calendar– Pudd’nhead Wilson’s Calendar, to be more specific. In Twain’s 1894 work “The Tragedy of Pudd’nhead Wilson”, each chapter begins with a quote (or two) from the title character’s calendar. Here’s the exact quote from Chapter XXI, the novel’s last chapter:
“April 1. This is the day upon which we are reminded of what we are on the other three hundred and sixty-four.”
Jessica got it right. She bet $800 and finished with $6,000.
Jamie came up with Labor Day. He lost a whopping $44,200 and finished with $11,600. That was twice as shocking as watching Jamie practically play the whole game by himself.

A triple stumper from each round:
MUST BE HUMP DAY ($1000) These cattle that originated in India are characterized by a distinctive shoulder hump

Not our best April Fool’s Day. However, Jamie Ding will be back tomorrow for Game 15, and I can’t promise that Jamie will take the exact same swing that he did today, have FJ! work out in his favor, and make up for this missed opportunity, but you never know.
Wow! Didn’t that happen to him in another game. He made a giant FJ! bet and lost.
Yes, in his second game, Jamie went from $34,000 to $3,933 when he got FJ! wrong.
Jamie Ding sets a new record for the highest money lost on a Final Jeopardy clue with $44,200. He would have an even 100,000 but he missed.
