Unusually hard questions all the way around. The final question must be given to JIT rather than here.
I was 1/3 on DD, and got FJ, BUT, it was after time was up, but before they got to contestant responses.
Omar was, very much so, his own WORST enemy. Time after time, he put his left hand to his head, realizing his error. That’s too bad. As stated below, he fought back, valiantly, from being deep in the hole.
In general, this was a lower scoring game than we’ve apparently been seeing in the tournaments.
Since no one else whom we were aware of had come up with the correct response in FJ, I think that I would hand you the credit Jason.
Not much of a game, especially in light of what we’ve seen in recent days. Laura took her time getting going, and Omar self-destructed with one poor answer after another (Texas Roadhouse for 3-letter movie chain; Bratislava as a rhyming capital; snow depth for 8-letter word).
DDs and FJ beat me badly. “Cosmos” was my FJ guess. I remember the Spielberg show but never watched. I did know the 2nd American in space. In grade school we watched the early launches live on a small b&w TV.
I performed somewhat above average during the game, but the FJ was monstrous. With only a few seconds to spare, I switched my response over to ‘The Incredible Hulk’. Yeah, I knew that the series began in the latter part of the seventies, but ‘The Outer Limits’? Well heck, that science fiction series debuted in 1964.
Disappointed show as all 3 DDs were missed resulted a skunking plus another triple stumper in the final to end the week. When was the last time we had an epic fail on wagering clues?
Darn Those Daily Doubles! This game was loaded with tough material, but props to Omar for going from -$6,000 at 1 point to making a comeback to end up with $800, and he was able to play FJ!. Thankfully, the rust didn’t hurt Laura, and she is only 2 wins away from being the 18th 10 or more day champion in “Jeopardy!” History.
Today was the first day of regular games after the Jeopardy postseason and the return started off rough with all three players played poorly. It sure look like that Omar wasn’t going to make it to FJ! but he did, he got on a late roll and played well enough at the end of DJ! to make it to FJ!
Not only they played poorly, but the wagering clues are not very kind to anybody as well.
