I was 2/3 on DD and got FJ. That third DD was just a nothing for me.

And, of course, I’m biased, but, QID was not difficult. I could give you an easy way to remember, but, I don’t want to give a TS response.

Karen looked destined to be long gone. Her recovery after beginning so poorly was something to see.

  2. Howard says:

Nice comeback by Karen to get herself into contention for advancement. The frequency of her wrong answers early on was dizzying. I missed all the DDs and FJ but did OK otherwise. I think the $1000 3-letter clue may have been a stumper. Regardless, I should have known it. Also shouid have known the Suriname clue; pretty sure we had neighbors from there in the 60s. The casual pants clue was also about a clothing item I remember from that era.

I see Matt is now a NYer. Definitely looking older. Did he really have to write “What Kenya” instead of What is Kenya or his customary What’s Kenya? They may not grade strictly on spelling, but decent grammar should be required. Including a question mark.

Yes, Howard, the $1000 3-Letter clue was a stumper. I said the right answer for Suriname but could not help wondering if I was wrong when Matt came up with Portuguese! He is, by and large, smarter than me.

Be that as it may, I ran the Little Heard Words category. 😁

    Semifinalists:
    Matt Amodio: $18,800

    Wild Cards:
    Karen Farrell: $16,400
    Drew Basile: $7,200

  4. Kevin Cheng says:

3,600 is what Drew had at the end of Double Jeopardy! Drew and Karen doubled up. At the end of the show, we saw that Drew and Karen will each go home with 5,000.
