WHAT IS BRAZIL?

The FIFA World Cup began in 1930 and has been held every 4 years, except for 1942 and 1946 due to World War II.

As of this date, Brazil has won 5 times: in 1958, 1962, 1970, 1994 and 2002. Germany and Italy have won 4 times. Uruguay, Argentina and France have won twice. England and Spain have won once. For more info, check out the Results List on Wikipedia’s article, List of FIFA World Cup Finals

Adam thought it was France, the 2018 winner. He lost his $3,500 bet and finished with $100.

Sam got it right. He bet the farm and finished with $46,800.

Mackenzie got it, too. She figured Sam would bet the farm so she wagered $16,601 and won the game with $46,801. Her 3-day total is $85,601. What an incredible game!

Had to be one of the highest losing totals ever.

Asking for a 4-letter word ending with ‘o’, that is associated with “ctrl-z” on a computer, seems overvalued at $1,000. Granted, I probably use “ctrl-z” 500 per day at my job.

    Well played, MacKenzie & Sam!

  4. Lou says:

Incredible play from both sam and Mackenzie as both players were too quick for Adam to catch up. This was almost the same amount won by Steve mould from Kentucky. Congrats to our players on getting final. Speaking of soccer, do your kids play fifa sports on the computer or a gaming console VJ?

    • VJ says:

No, Lou, my kids like American football.

My favorite clue today was the one about the Henry VIII unit of measure because I posted this old clue from 1996 in today’s Spoiler Talk (I love when that happens): FRUITS: This fruit plant can grow 20 feet high & produce a dozen hands

It was a Daily Double and the player lost $1,700 on it. Canadian children’s entertainer Raffi uses the measure in his version of “Day-O” — “pick 6 hand, 7 hand, 8 hand bunch”

  5. Richard Corliss says:

Wow! What a game! This was MacKenzie and Sam’s game. A runaway. They just took it away from Adam.
