Knowing that French Guyana is not a country helps in eliminating possibilities for the Final.

@Rhonda, that movie “Juarez” had an outstanding cast — besides Brian Aherne and Bette Davis as Maximilian and Carlota, it starred:

    Paul Muni as Benito Juarez
    Claude Rains as Napoleon III
and our boy, John Garfield as Porfirio Diaz

Wow, VJ, that is an incredible cast indeed! Thanks for pointing it out to me. We sure don’t have movie stars like we used to!

Really did a 180 with the daily double difficulty today.

Alex had a good game until that daily double in the monkey category eluded him. Pity he couldn’t get another win. Karen was pretty fast today and usha couldn’t even catch up. Still no triple solve but I really hope Karen can add to her win.
By the way how long did Napoleon III ‘s reign last in Mexico, VJ?

    • VJ says:

Lou, Maximilian was the Emperor of Mexico, not Napoleon III. Read the article I linked to in the recap.
