    I think the question had another answer in Melbourne for 1956 Summer Olympics

    After saying that it would have been better if they only asked for one city, I was quite surprised to see that they asked for all 4 before, but that was 32 years ago and a lot closer to the time period.

    That was a good game, where it looked like each player had a shot at winning at different times. At least I like it better than watching one player totally mop the floor with the other two.

    Well, we ended a whirlwind week with a new J! champion in the name of J. Speaking of Olympic cities, looks like Milan might win the bid because Stockholm is in the period of uncertainty. The IOC will plunge down to a bidding crisis because of Calgary’s decision to withdraw their bid for 2026. If the IOC can’t fix it, I’m afraid it will be 1976 all over again in the bidding process.

    Well mary Ann had a great run and was every impressive winning 86,000 dollars. It’s sad that she missed the crucial part of the clue in final jeopardy. At least now we have three four time winners and Eric is gone. So congratulations to J Cheema and I hope he wins four or five games next week. VJ do you remember the Munich Olympics shooting in 1972? Due to the lack of security, the innocent lives were lost. If only they had stepped up guards and patrols that disaster would never have happened. Still though, hope you shopped for black friday

      @Lou
      Sorry to barge in. Idk about VJ, I lived in Vienna at the time, basically next door and was 28. Nine years later, just after Christmas the airports in Rome and Vienna were attacked with 16 killed in Rome and 3 in Vienna. By that time I was already in the States.

        PS
        Since then Vienna-Schwechat airport was – and still is- patrolled by military with assault rifles 24 hours a day…..once the horse has bolted the barn door was closed…

    Well at least the week did not end in TS.
    Congratulations to – I’l call him “Mr.J” as opposed to J, the game_ and VJ.
    Mary Ann was completely off. Milan and Milwaukee?
    I hinted on the 20th that Mary Ann will win 4 or 5 games and then be replaced. Mr. J, will either lose after 1 game (today) or go on to win 4 or 5 games etc. Currently there are still 3 three game winners on the ToC list, Scott,Dave and Ali. J. will not hold the ToC until they are gone, not even the 3 4 game winners are safe (Alex, Mary Ann and Kyle Becker). I wonder WHEN J will hold the ToC, if it’s November next year they might have more than 13 5 game winners in addition to Dhruv and Larry. Probably when they have the 2 T winners, 12 5 or 5+ game winners and one 4 game winner. Then it will be announced on short term and held almost right away unless they want to risk eliminating 5 game winners.
    I want to congratulate Mr. J. especially, from the looks of it he was not born yet when Munich and Montreal happened. The 9 K in answering all 3 DDs correctly did not hurt either.
    Have a great weekend everybody, I bet you still have turkey leftovers….😉

    We haven’t had a 5-time female champion since Rachel Lindgren back in January.

    I thought Mary Ann was going to win 5 games. .
