WHAT IS “A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM”?

An essay on Marked by Teachers.com explains the moon’s importance in this play: “The moon is a dominant symbol in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and presides over much of the action within the play. Because the moon waxes and wanes as it passes through the monthly cycle, it is the embodiment of the idea of change. The symbolism of the moon also encapsulates many of the play’s themes and, including dreams, magic, irrationality, love, marriage, and chastity.”

A Triple Solve to start the week

    • John B./I. says:

CONGRATULATIONS to Tori. Due to the low total in her first win she will have to win at least 4 games though to get on the ToC list, regardless of the amount won.

@Lou – Not only heard OF it, heard it at more weddings than I cared to attend….😉 It’s Mendelssohn Bartholdi actually, since his parents renounced the Jewish faith and added “Bartholdi” to his name to show the “break”

  2. Lou says:

Finally glad to see three strong players getting final right and congrats to Tori on making a comeback after that disastrous final jeopardy last week. I would like to see more triple solves this week if possible. Also the midsummer night’s dream is from Mendelssohn’s wedding March classical music if you heard of it John and VJ?

    • VJ says:

Yes, Tori’s a strong player and I’m glad she doesn’t have to go home with just $2K. She had great competitors today. Kudos to them all.

I agree, but it’s a shame that the contestants forgot about tempest and dance dance revolution. Have you ever played those games before in the arcade or on a gaming console in the past, VJ? I know many people are fans of tempest as it is a shoot em up game.

Neill started final Jeopardy because at the end of the first round he was in third place.
