Three sharp players. This is refreshing, after the “Second Chance Tournament”, where it was clear why they didn’t win the first time. I thought Joe made a tactical error with that last DD, but, it didn’t matter. He had to get it right, and the leader wrong (unless they both made really head scratching bad wagers), to win.

    Still, I’m enjoying this tourney!

One tough final. I had no idea NZ had regions; I’d have thought states, like Australia. Cornwall was my lame answer. Joe rallied just enough to stay within range and avoid a lock game. He deserved to win.

The stumpers tend to stymie me, but this time I knew the monarch’s long flag in Heraldry; the tear glands; to fight fiercely in wrestling; Brando’s Black Rebels film; the fava food; European hotel; and French-named hotel in NYC. A quick $8800!

We just realized we hadn’t seen the scores going into FJ! But we have another Joe advancing to the semifinals. Now there are two Joes in the semifinals. I wonder what will happen if there are two Joes competing in the same semifinal game. We never had two players with the same names playing against each other.

I had a response that said it had to be “moderated”, I think because it had a hyperlink – to this game in 2018 where there indeed were two players with the same name – in this case, Erik/Eric. The challenger went by his nickname, which was “Rock”. So, there have indeed been two players with the same first name on one show.

Jason, if that happens, just post a comment to me that your link didn’t publish and I’ll fix it.

I do it this way because it’s a lot easier for me to keep spammy links off the published comments.
