Only ONE of the contestants got Final Jeopardy! right.

WHAT IS DUKE OF SUSSEX?

The title Duke of Sussex was created by King George III (remember him?) for his 6th son, Prince Augustus Frederick, who took a wife without royal permission twice. He had kids but, sans the royal blessing, they could not inherit their father’s titles. In 2018, Queen Elizabeth II recreated the title and bestowed it upon her grandson, Prince Harry, when he married Meghan Markle. Unlike the first Duke of Sussex, Harry had the royal okay so his son, Prince Archie, will inherit the title.

Apparently, Harry won’t be getting any income from being the Duke of Sussex, unlike his brother, William, who makes a pretty penny from being the Duke of Cornwall.

Dondi had no response. He lost $6,699 and finished with $1.00. With nothing from yesterday, that was his final score.

Abigail thought it was the Duchess of Sussex, wrong because Meghan Markle was the first to ever hold that title. Abigail lost $11,639, leaving $961 to add to yesterday’s $23,600. She finished with $24,561.

Ryan got it right. He bet $42, bringing him up to $24,842. Yesterday’s $33,440 gave him a winning total of $58,282.

The monetary prizes shown in front of the contestants at the end of the game were $15K each for Dondi and Abigail and $35,000 for Ryan, who also advances to Champions Wildcard. That tournament starts this coming Monday, 1/5/26. Ryan will be in Friday’s 1/9/26 quarterfinal.
