Dirk Nowitzki Reaches Another Career Milestone

The Dallas Mavericks beat the San Antonio Spurs 101-94 in Dallas on March 24th behind a 38 point performance by Monta Ellis. Dirk Nowtizki added 15 points and 13 rebounds for Dallas, and those 13 rebounds included the 10,000 rebound of his NBA career.

Nowitzki, 36, in his 17th season, all with Dallas.  He was drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks in 1998 and immediately traded to Dallas, with forward Pat Garrity, for the late Robert “Tractor” Traylor in one of the worst trades in NBA history, for Milwaukee that is; it’s been a great deal for Dallas.  Nowitzki  is now is the only player in NBA history to score 25,000 points, have 10,000 rebounds, 1000 blocked shots, and 1000 3 point baskets. He is averaging 17.3 points and six rebounds per game in 68 games this season.
