WHO IS JUDY BLUME?

Judy Blume’s most successful book is “Are You There, God? It’s Me, Margaret” (1970), with its 7-word title. Blume published her first published book in 1969 and that one actually had an 8-word title: “The One in the Middle is the Green Kangaroo”. Business Insider put together a list of 23 favorite Blume novels from GoodReads reviews. It includes “Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing”, “Otherwise Known as Sheila the Great” and another 7-word title often heard from parents, “It’s Not the End of the World”. Looking over that list, you wouldn’t be wrong to conclude that long titles didn’t hurt the popularity of her works by any means.

Peter bet $7,200 and finished with $19,000.

Mira bet $12,000 and won the match with $24,200. Mira advances to the Semifinals. Adam and Peter each won $30,000 for their charities.

Surprisingly good. Usually, I find the CJ! games to be “Jeopardy! lite”, and the players treat it as such. However, this game, and especially Mira and Peter, were legit. I knew Mira received her degree from Harvard, and I found that Peter was graduated from Emory. Although Adam had worked as a stockbroker, I can’t find a college degree for him. In any case, this was an actually competitive game. Congrats to Mira. She’s my early pick to win it all.
