ALL of the celebrities got Final Jeopardy! right.

WHO IS LEONARDO DA VINCI?

Evidently, Leonardo da Vinci’s full name was “Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci”, not necessarily meaning he was born in Vinci himself but that he was the son of ser Piero from Vinci. It would appear that because his parents were not married, the details of his early childhood were kept quiet deliberately. Although it is said that no one knows for certain where Leonardo was born, an awful lot of websites claim to know, citing either Vinci or Anchiano.

leonardoda-vinci.org, for example, says “Leonardo was born on April 15, 1452, ‘at the third hour of the night’ in the Tuscan hill town of Vinci….” and later in the article says Leonardo “spent his first five years in the hamlet of Anchiano….”

Wil bet $11,500 and finished with $23,000.

Patton bet $36,000 and finished with $72,000.

Ike bet $22,001 and finished with $72,001. He won the match and the $1,000,000 for his charity. Patton’s charity will receive $250,000 and Wil’s charity will receive $100,000.

Kudos to all the celebrities who participated in this tournament on behalf of charity.
