FAST TRACK: TV THEMES: “Who Are You” (The Who) CSI: Crime Scene Investigation

Nobody got it so that $4K was lost to them. Sad when that happens on the Fast Track

After the Elton John song in that round, Corinne had a Father’s Day surprise for her dad: playing “Heaven,” a song that he wrote for her, and showing some beautiful pictures from her childhood. Jamie was almost brought to tears. See the clip on Fox.com

Round 2: 2 votes went to Summer Songs so Hip Hop was out. Third place goes home at the end of the round.

1. “Summer in the City” (The Lovin’ Spoonful)

FAST TRACK: “Summer Love” (Justin Timberlake)
Milwaukee $21,000 Long Island $5000 Atlanta $7000

Tim & Bryan were the only ones to get that last one, giving them a huge lead. It was back to Long Island for Tom & Marie, but Grandma Marie sure had a great time getting cozy with Jamie Foxx!

Round 3: Power Ballads – A voice from the audience called out for Power Ballads and it was the voice of Michael Bolton! He joined Corinne for DJ duties.
At one point, Michael Bolton told Jamie that his biggest musical inspiration was the legend Jamie portrayed on the big screen (and won an Oscar for it)– the great Ray Charles.
Only one person from each remaining team could play this round. So it was Bryan vs. Michael
First 4: $5000 each. Fast Track: $10,000.
1. “Can’t Fight This Feeling” (REO Speedwagon)
Milwaukee $21,000 Atlanta $7000
Everyone crashed on that one. Jamie blamed it on nerves
2. “Two Out of Three Ain’t Bad” (Meatloaf)
Milwaukee $26,000 Atlanta $7000
Only Tim & Bryan got this one. The force is with them tonight
3. “With Arms Wide Open” (Creed)
Milwaukee $26,000 Atlanta $7000
Nobody got that it! Did we jinx them?
4. “Heaven” (Warrant)
Milwaukee $26,000 Atlanta $12,000
Atlanta had the only right answer this time for a much-needed win.
5. (Fast Track) “How Am I Supposed to Live Without You” (Michael Bolton)
Milwaukee $26,000 Atlanta $22,000
Both teams got it. Atlanta came in at 1.58 to 2.71 for Milwaukee.

It’s a much closer contest now and no matter what happens in the next round, one team will be going home with over $10K.

Round 4: ’60s
First 4: $10,000 each. Fast Track: $20,000. High score goes on to try to Beat Shazam.
1. “Gimme Some Lovin'” (The Spencer Davis Group)

Both teams were right and very fast. Milwaukee was a bit faster at 1.88 vs. Atlanta’s 1.92
2. “Where Did Our Love Go” (The Supremes)
Milwaukee $36,000 Atlanta $22,000
“They fell for the fool’s gold,” Jamie said — they all picked “Baby Love”
3. “Oh, Pretty Woman” (Roy Orbison)”
Milwaukee $46,000 Atlanta $22,000
Only Milwaukee had the right songs, giving them back that fantastic lead they had before.
4. “Time of the Season” (The Zombies)
Milwaukee $46,000 Atlanta $22,000
More fool’s gold. Both teams came in with “Who’s Your Daddy”
5. (Fast Track) “Sherry” (The Four Seasons)
Milwaukee $66,000 Atlanta $22,000
Tim & Bryan got the correct title and that big money

The fellas from Milwaukee are going on to try to beat Shazam. Jocelyn & Michael are taking half their bank home: $11,000.

One Million Beat Shazam Round – 6 songs
First 5: $25,000 each. They only get a shot at the million if they get all 5 right. There are no multiple choice screens and they have to know the song’s exact title before Shazam to be right.
1. 90s: “Where Have All the Cowboys Gone” (Paula Cole) – Bryan buzzed in but only said “Cowboy” and there went the chance to win a million but there was still $100K to be had.
2. Breakup Songs: “Out of Touch” (Hall & Oates)- Or not. They didn’t even buzz in on it.
3. Promiscuous (Nelly Furtado feat. Timbaland) – They got one. Yay! $91,000
4. Classic Rock: “The Weight” (The Band) – Bryan knew it. Bryan buzzed in. Bryan blanked out.
5. Maroon 5: “Misery” This time, Bryan buzzed in and said “I have no idea.” Okaaaaayyyy! They began the round with $66,000 and finished with $91,000.

Tim & Bryan now have the chance to double their money to $182,000 by taking on the last song and beating Shazam or they can just skedaddle with the $91,000. If they play and lose to Shazam, they would be left with $45,500, half their bank. They are given the category to help them decide: Motown. Now that they knew it’s much easier to play the multiple choice rounds than this one, they were not inclined to risk parting with that much loot, even though they love Motown and Tim’s dad played it every summer at the lake. As fate would have it, they did know the last song: “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” by Tammi Terrell & Marvin Gaye. Who doesn’t?
