WHAT IS THE MAYFLOWER?

According to Lisa Grimm’s 2012 Beer-Mythbusting article, when the Pilgrims sighted land in the New World near Cape Cod, they were running out of beer and they were in the wrong place to boot. Winter was setting in and it would be too difficult to continue on to the Virginia colony they were originally bound for. A supply of beer was a necessity as contamination of water aboard the ship was a potentially deadly threat.

Harry wrote down the H.M.S. Budweiser. Alex was highly amused and said Harry would find a Clydesdale in his garage when he got home. Harry lost $4,700 and finished with $100.

Jodie got it right. She bet it all and doubled her score to $16,600.

Nathan went with Budweiser, too. “Great minds think alike,” Alex said as Harry and Nathan high-fived. Nathan lost $10,000 and was left with $1,100.

Jodie’s was awarded an extra $5,000 so $21,600 was donated to The Hollywood Education and Literacy Project. Nathan and Harry each got $10,000 for their respective charities: Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and the Jimmy Fund.

Jodie Foster won $16,600. Then they added $5,000 to that score.

I am pretty sure the Budweiser ship is non existent but still the other two players should have gotten this for a triple solve. A good game so far today. Speaking of the mayflower do you remember a cartoon movie called The Mouse on the Mayflower? It was from 1968, VJ.

Can’t say I recall that one, Lou. It was decent game with almost all the clues shown. idk why the guys went for a joke answer but Alex sure got a kick out of it.
