Supporting Cast of Staten Island Part 2: Ray Donovan
Here are some of the actors who appeared in “Staten Island Part 2” (11-4-2018), the second episode of “Ray Donovan,” Season 6 The episode recap is here.
Yasha Jackson played K’Lei Hughes, an actress who starred in “Underground Railroad” and “To the Moon and Back.” Even Conor Donovan knows who she is. In this episode, K’Lei was offered the role of Misty Train in “Mr. Lucky,” on which Daryll Donovan is being credited as a producer and his father Mickey, who wrote the script, is being credited with Daryll’s murder of the head of the FBI Frank Barnes. When K’Lei asked Jay White where he found Daryll, White responded: “Oh, I murdered somebody. I called him to cover it up. Then he blackmailed me into making this piece of sh-t.” That was pretty close to the truth, although it was Mickey who blackmailed White, but K’Lei thought it was just a joke. Also, Jay White didn’t really murder anyone– he accidentally beheaded his sensei, Shoota.
Brian Keane played the prison guard assigned to watch over Mickey. As if he didn’t have enough trouble with the after-effects of the chicken lasagna, he also accepted a hero sandwich from Bunchy Donovan. We’re not sure if we can blame his appetite for his carelessness in letting Bunchy walk behind his chair while he set about unwrapping the hero with only one hand. His left hand was handcuffed to the bed. Whatever, Bunchy did a number on him with a newly purchased hammer and spirited Mickey out of the hospital.
Chuck Lewkowicz played the hardware clerk who noticed that Ray Donovan was buying all the items one needs to dispose of a dead body. When he asked Ray if that was his intent, Ray responded with his classic line “What?” Then Ray got a call from Officer Mac McGrath and it turned out that he didn’t need the stuff after all. There was another way to deal with that situation.
Max Casella played the guy sitting in the car outside the Staten Island precinct who saw Mac come out of the station, hiding something under his jacket. We’re assuming he was the New York Times reporter Mac told Ray was looking for a comment in connection with the Fetu Autufuga problem, and we’re assuming that Mac will be in even deeper doo-doo if this guy puts 2 and 2 together now that Fetu has turned up dead.
Devon Bagby made an appearance as Conor Donovan, who is now in the Marines. He told Daryll that he will be shipped off to Germany in a month. Possibly, we’ll see him one more time if Bridget marries Smitty before then.
