As Alex Trebek noted, we began the week with 3 right and ended it the same way. There were no triple stumpers as the rest of the clues were solved by 1 or 2 players. It’s hard to say which clue was easiest – Wednesday’s and Friday’s were true softballs. And it’s just as hard to decide whether Tuesday’s was more difficult than Thursday’s.

Jeopardy! champs for the week of October 29, 2018

Tori Campbell was the returning champ on Monday and she won her second game. On Tuesday, Emily Frey won with the lone FJ! solve. Emily won 2 more games and was defeated on Friday by Jonathan Greenan. There were 2 payouts over $25K but only one made the Top 10 list.

Top 10 $25K+ Winners: Even though Emily Frey didn’t knock Erik Agard off the ToC list, she did knock his highest payout off this Top 10 list.

Thursday was the easiest for me, but then I’m from Vienna and into history. For me Tuesday was the most difficult, though Doris had Dyson off the bat. I guess difficulty is also in the eye of the ……contestant or in the eye of whoever is very good/bad in a category. Some are generally easy but they are rarely a FJ, just sometimes and then very often on Fridays Ferrari last Fri but then the Stone of Scone the Fri before was anything but easy in general, unless – again- you are into history, and foreign history to boot.
Plus you have Lady Luck. You have no idea about a FJ as player and by coincidence you hear or read about the subject just a couple of days before it is your turn…….Wouldn’t have had a prayer 2 days ago..C’est la vie! Rouge ou noir, pair ou impair, manque ou passe….
